INGREDIENTS
For the “cheese” sauce
- 75 g (1/2 cup) raw and unsalted cashews, soaked for 2 hours in boiling water (or overnight in cold water)
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) vegetable broth
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) nutritional yeast
- 1 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric (turmeric)
For the burgers
- 2 packs Genius Burgers
- 3-4 bread rolls
- lettuce
- tomato slices
- onion slices
- ketchup (optional)
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- Drain the cashews and put them in a blender or food processor.
- Add the sauce ingredients and whisk until smooth.
- Bake the Genius burgers according to the package instructions.
- Assemble the burgers by putting a little ketchup (if desired), lettuce, tomato, and onion on a bun. Top the burgers with a little “cheese” sauce and serve.
